AW18 Press Day
This week, we took our autumn/winter '18 collection to the big smoke to showcase our natural British style to awaiting members of the press. Here are some snaps taken by our Press Officer Emma, giving you a sneak peek at what you can expect to see from us later this year...
Carefully Curated
Based just a stone’s throw away from all the leading publishing houses, in the heart of Soho in London, The Vinyl Factory is a rather hip company, making... you've guessed it, vinyl records, which have seen a huge resurgence recently. They also offer a fantastic gallery space perfect for exhibitions, launch parties, fashion shows and press days, so when we had the chance to take part in B - The Communications Agency's AW18 press day, we jumped at the opportunity.
Emma our Press Officer flew from Cornwall into London the day before to set up the space with a carefully curated selection of our autumn and winter ranges. She chose stand-out shearling outerwear such as the Reversible shearling Colourblock coat in pink, grey and beige to grab attention and stop editors and stylists in their tracks. Being shearling specialists, our outerwear naturally dominated the space, offering an array of British designed and made, fully reversible, casually luxurious styles.
Renewable, Sustainable and Bliss To Wear
A press day wouldn't be the same without showing off our knitwear items to sit alongside our gorgeous outerwear. For AW18 we really have pushed the boundaries of our well-known classic knitwear. Using geelong, merino and donegal wool, we've moved these natural fibres into yet more styles, offered in a wider colour palette to suit all personal tastes and skin tones.
Emma was keen to also highlight to members of press that Celtic & Co only sells products made from the finest of natural fibres. With the world finally focusing on the damage to the environment that plastics and synthetic fibres are causing (the clothing industry being a HUGE player here), it really is time to invest in natural clothing that will last a lifetime and not just one season.
Eyes Peeled...
We also featured a small selection of footwear alongside our outerwear and knitwear. These were our ever-growing range of rugged leather and suede footwear, designed for both town and country, as well as our iconic British shearling boots, still handcrafted in our workshop in Cornwall.
Around 150-200 key members of press from magazines, newspapers and supplements visited the AW18 press day at The Vinyl Factory this week and already Emma has received image requests and sample call-ins for titles working on their early autumn pages. So keep an eye out for our exciting new collection, launching this August and in a glossy mag or two soon!
