Material
Suede is a high-quality form of leather, made from the underside of the animal hide. It's characterized by a soft smooth surface. It is softer and thinner than full grain traditional leather, so it not as strong but has it’s own unique beautiful characteristics.
Size & Fit
When trying on your footwear for the first time, it may feel very tight across your toes and instep. This is nothing to worry about, as within an hour or so of wearing, the boots or slippers will loosen off as the wool starts to bed down and mould to your feet. So do not order a size bigger than you usually wear, otherwise they will end up too big for you. If you know you are a half size – then we recommend buying the size down unless you regularly buy up a half size.
Care
30 Degree Gentle Machine Wash
Put the boots in a pillowcase to avoid drum marks from the washing machine. Machine wash on a 30 degree wool cycle with Celtic Wool Wash. This is the only wool wash that has been tried and tested over many years on our sheepskin footwear, so while others are available we can’t be sure that you will get the same results if you use them.

Write a reviewVery much a mixed picture from me on this. First of all, customer service were excellent in fixing my problems. They were quick and responsive. My issue is that these slippers are a very different shape from the previous pair I bought from Celtic a few years back. The previous pair had a slightly tapered toe shape, which meant that the foot is guided more towards the heel, making for a snug overall fit. But the latest pair has a more square-shaped toe, which means the foot slides forward and therefore the heel slips. I guess that is just a comment about my foot shape. I am normally a UK10. My previous Celtic slippers were a UK11 and fitted well because of the toe shape. But the new ones, which I also ordered as a UK11 to match the previous size, were too big and so I had to order a replacement in UK10. My problem, and the key reason for the overall 3-star review is that the returns process is complex compared to the experience I get from other online retailers. It's not possible to simply order a replacement from Celtic. The process works by returning the first item, ordering a completely separate, new item and then phoning customer service to get a refund of the difference in price. As stated, customer service was happy to help, but this process is complex for the customer.

Very comfortable, luxury lining plus hard sole for safer walking. Great fit even for those with problem feet. Second time I have purchased this model of slipper.
Beautifully made and very comfortable. The wearer is very difficult to please when it comes to footwear but is very happy with these.
Bought for my partner to wear downstairs as the perfect partner for your soft soled moccasins he wears on the carpets upstairs. He is equally delighted with them. Soft leather, warm sheepswool lining and beautifully crafted.

Blissfully comfortable. An unexpected bonus of these hard sole slippers (they may be called loafers, but they ARE slippers) is that you can walk outside in them, even when the dew is still on the grass (soft sole versions got damp)
Unfortunately size 7 I ordered was too large! Have returned them for Ladies size 6 identical style and will be ideal.
