I have shopped with Celtic for years and wear size 8 or XS. When I tried on the wax riding coat I was wearing a Celtic cotton, funnel neck, relaxed fit jumper, size XS. I just about managed to get my arms into the sleeves, and the coat just about went around me. And Celtic suggests styling it with a chunky jumper? It's the first time I've tried Celtic outerwear. I doubt I will again. Going by this experience, it's too much of a lottery. The coat has been returned.

I have been eyeing up this jacket for a while now but never got around to buying it (why not I ask myself!) so when hubby asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year this jacket was the perfect gift and I absolutely love it (although not allowed to wear it until Xmas day). It is so fabulous, very stylish, comfortable to wear and the usual great quality from C&C. I normally wear a 12 but ordered the 14 so I can wear thicker jumpers underneath on colder days & the straps can be adjusted to pull in at the waist. I am so lucky I have now got this jacket and can’t wait to wear it.

Beautiful quality jacket, it looks stylish and waist can be adjusted if you do not wear a thick jumper underneath. Was warm and dry in the rain. Best style wax jacket, and I have looked at loads. I am 5’7” and it comes just above the knee. Love it!

I lost count how many years I have wished and longed for this coat. The coat is everything I had hoped it would be and more. I am a size 18 5ft 2in length is on the knee and it gives plenty of room if wearing a thick jumper. Service excellent quick and beautifully packaged.

I was concerned whether to order a size 10 or 12. I bought the 12 and pleased that it fits with a jumper underneath. The sleeves are generous but not too long. I am 5ft 1” and the length is just above my knees. You can adjust the waist. I wore it today in heavy rain and I was really comfortable and dry. It also kept me warm enough, it’s supposed to be summer but feels like November here.

poor quality of waxed material - light patches starting showing through on areas of inner zip spoiling look of coat after only a few months of wear

Am thrilled with this coat! It oozes quality from top to bottom! The quality of the material, the beautiful lining, the hood, deep pockets plus inside zip pocket, super heavy duty front fastening zip. Shapely cut! It's just such an unusual coat, I love the adjustable waist detail too. I also went up a size up so could wear a jumper. I'm usually a 14 went for 16 and there is lots of room. I probably could of got away with a size 14, but wanted the coat to be roomy and it is. I will adjust the waist when I don't wear a jumper. The item was delivered super quick and thoughtfully packaged with love. Thank you!

I am a size 10 but to get full use of the coat, when I need a jumper I opted for the 12 after trying both sizes. I then use the straps at the side to pull in at the waist if I want. The sleeves are a little long but ok. It’s a lovely style - a bit different from the norm. Seems well made. I have worn it a few times and enjoyed the experience!
