When trying on your footwear for the first time, it may feel very tight across your toes and instep. This is nothing to worry about, as within an hour or so of wearing, the boots or slippers will loosen off as the wool starts to bed down and mould to your feet. So do not order a size bigger than you usually wear, otherwise they will end up too big for you. If you know you are a half size – then we recommend buying the size down unless you regularly buy up a half size.

Washing Instructions
Sponge Clean With Wool Detergent
For styles which are sponge clean only, we recommend using our Celtic Wool Wash in cold water to gently remove any dirt or stains on your boots. Always allow to dry naturally, away from all artificial heat sources.
Do not: Soak. Use fabric conditioner. Use artificial heat to dry or dry in direct sunlight.

Write a reviewBeautiful boot, lovely and cosy, but the sole and heel are wearing much too fast, and they don’t look as though they can be repaired. I’ve only had them a few months. I am very disappointed as I have glue allergies and these are the only winter boots I’ve found that I can wear!

Glorious boots! I already have the longer length Aqualamb boots and fancied a short pair to wear with cuffed jeans, and these are gorgeous. I am a regular size 5 UK shoe/boot and I bought these in a size 4 and they are snug as expected on first wearing. But I know by experience that these will give and mold nicely in a short time. Super delighted, thank you!
I bought these boots to wear to and after my OWS session. Ideal for the water situation.These boots do not disappoint and have proven to be a good choice. I took the advice to size down. They did initially feel tight, but true to advice, my feet have bedded in, the boots do feel looser and more comfortable.
These are lovely boots. The advice on the box was very welcome as they do appear tight and small on arrival, but once they were on they felt lovely! I've never bought boots like this before, but I've obviously been missing out! I haven't tested them in rainy weather yet.
I bought these boots to keep my feet warm and dry after a sea swim but they've quickly become my go to footwear in the colder weather. Would not be without them now.
I usually wear a size 6 and a half, wide, so I was a little anxious about sizing down to a 6, as the advice suggested. At first, the boots were very tight but they slowly stretched to be a comfortable fit after about a week of wearing them in. The quality of these boots is wonderful and the very dark brown colour is just what I was looking for. Lovely.
The boots are beautiful and just what I was looking for. I normally take a size 6 or 6.5 depending on the make of the shoe, but these were just too big so have returned and am awaiting the exchange for size 5 - hopefully these will do.
I had looked at these boots before, but didn't want the taller ones, so I was pleased when I saw they had been introduced in a shortie version. The size advice was spot on - I am normally between a size 4 and 5, I followed the advice to take the size down and the 4 is a perfect fit. They look beautiful - the colour is very dark which is exactly what I wanted. Sturdy soles were also important to me, but it is great that they still look smart as well. Like another reviewer, I would have preferred them to be a little bit less wide at the top, as there is a bit of a gap when I pull them on over yoga leggings etc, though this is not so apparent if I wear them with a thin pair of socks, which I can still do for fit. The fact that they are made in Britain is the icing on the cake. An excellent purchase overall.
These boots are cosy and fit true to size. I really like that they resist rain. I bought similar boots from another company which did not, and they were ruined when it poured with rain unexpectedly. It is really good to be able to wear them without socks or tights. My only quibble is that the top of the back of the boot is very soft (lovely to wear) but they do need pulling up carefully when putting them on as one's heel initially pushes the back down. They do have study soles which is good, you just have to remember to walk correctly - heel to toe - so you do not catch the front on uneven and broken paving. A very good buy.
Have had to return these as the very hard inflexible sole made them too uncomfortable to wear. There was a very thin layer of sheep's wool on the sole but too thin to provide any comfort.. It was like walking on flippers Two stars as they looked beautiful
