Product Details
• 100% Geelong lambswool
• Grown on turtleneck
• Relaxed fit
• Made in Europe
Borrow from the boys with our chunky fisherman's rib sweater. The menswear classic gets a feminine overhaul thanks to a 100% lambswool knit for strokable softness. A marled, slightly textured effect lends further depth to this piece, while a laid-back cut and grown-on turtleneck make it ideal for layering in frosty snaps.
Roll up the sleeves to reveal your chosen midlayer, and tuck it loosely into slim-fit denim or stretch-leather leggings for a perfectly balanced silhouette. Laced suede boots and a beanie hat will provide the perfect finishing touches for outdoorsy style with a cosy touch.
Made with 100% Geelong lambswool - Created from the first shearing of a lamb, this elegant material possesses a softness and elasticity that makes it perfect for any item that requires featherlight breathability. Ever so slightly thicker than Merino, lambswool is shorn when the sheep is just six or seven months old, delivering fibres that are smooth and strong by their very nature, and therefore require very little treating before they're ready for use.

Care
Washing Instructions
Hand Wash only
When washing by hand, avoid twisting or wringing as this may damage the wool. Do not use fabric conditioner when washing. To remove excess water from the garment we recommend wrapping it in a towel and gently squeezing it before leaving the item to dry. Do not put on a spin cycle. Lay the product out flat to dry, do not hang your wool garments. Allow to dry naturally away from all artificial heat sources.
Care & Cleaning Products
Pilling
Clothing made from natural fibres can occasionally 'pill'. These little balls of fibre or 'pills' are created as the smaller fibres in the twist of yarn naturally shed with wear. This will lessen as you wash and wear your garment. Until then, they can be gently removed with our Pilling Comb.
Ratings & reviews
Write a reviewI initially bought the jumper in a medium for my daughter however, it was too big. Re ordered in a small which is a perfect fit. Very satisfied with the service, quality and fit of the jumper.
Bought this is in Fossil (light grey) If this was available in proper black I'd buy it immediately! Always have to go down a size in Celtic jumpers so went for small which fits well, it is an oversized jumper. It's very soft and light knit, super warm. I never wear right against my skin so no issue with the wider sleeves as have a fitted long sleeve t-shirt underneath. I do fold sleeves up though as they can get in the way a bit.
I just bought my THIRD one of these. I can't say enough. When I wear it, I don't need a coat, but it is cozy - and not itchy at all. I like my sweaters roomy, but my first one was an XL and it's swimming on me. I would advise you try a size down from what you think you might need. The quality is impeccable. Again, highly recommend the investment.
I’ve owned the sweater for a few years. It is very warm, even on very cold days I don’t really need a coat if I have it on. I find it great when traveling by car in the cold winter and have even shoveled snow in it (no coat). It can be a bit warm inside so I reserve it for mostly January, February, and March when it is bitter cold in the Northeastern US. As always the quality is exceptional, I expect nothing less from C&C.

Dear April, thank you for your lovely review. We are very pleased to hear that you are happy and enjoying your Chunky Fisherman's Rib Jumper in the U.S winters :) Kindest regards, Celtic & Co.
Celtic is the go to place for my jumpers (and boots!) and I’m always really pleased with them but this jumper really let me down - the quality is fabulous (as always) but the fit is awful. Massively too big (both in width and length) and the sleeves are too wide- Although the jumper itself is warm because of the sleeve width the cold gets in. It was bought as a gift or I would have returned (and I opened it after the return date) iIf you are going to buy I would definitely recommend choosing a size down. (I see that the website has been updated to recommend you choose smaller sizes)
I’ve hankered after this jumper for quite a while but was a little reluctant to make the investment. Well I’ve taken the plunge and am very pleased with my purchase. The sleeves are rather long on me but the cuffs do fold back. I bought the XS (I am an 8-10) and it’s an easy fit with plenty of room for layers underneath. Lovely sweater.
Wonderfully well made jumper. Comfy and warm to wear. As in picture.
Wonderful wool and great design, I love this kind of thick knitwear with turtleneck und raglan sleeves. Reading the reviews I sized down from S to XS and it is still big, quite long with long sleeves. Which I anticipated and is fine with tight jeans or leggings, although if I could choose, I'd find a more fitting design preferable.

Dear Ulrike, thank you for your review. We will pass on your feedback to our product development team. We hope you enjoy your Chunky Fisherman's Rib Jumper. Kindest regards, Celtic & Co.
It took this jumper just over a week to get to rural Western Australia and into the hands of a very happy customer. Knowing that Celtic & Co.'s garments are on the larger side I ordered the green in XS; I'm a small 10 and it still fits large, but it's the nature of this product as stated on the website. Although pricey, it is a lovely piece and it will get a lot of wear and TLC. Thank you for a prompt service, I'm very impressed and will be back.
Initially I was really happy with this jumper, lovely colour, soft and very warm if slightly too big for a size M. But after only 4 months , and I only wore it occasionally, there is a lot of bobbling in general but especially under the arms. It has also gone pretty shapeless, especially at the sleeves, and due to the loose knit there are a few snags. By now it actually looks pretty worn. I´ve got several much older woolen jumpers that are in much better condition after a lot more wear. All in all not what I would have expected of such an expensive item. I certainly would not recommend it.

Thank you for your review, we are sorry yo hear that on this occasion you have not been satisfied with your purchase. An email has been sent to you on how to return the item to us where a member of our Customer care Team will assess the item for you. Kind regards Celtic & Co
