KING'S AWARD FOR ENTERPRISE PRESENTATION
━
On Thursday 14th March we were presented with our King's Award for Enterprise that we were awarded in 2023 - we'd love to share some highlights of the day!
What is the King's Award for Enterprise?
The King’s Awards for Enterprise was previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, the new name reflecting His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The award programme is the most prestigious business award in the country, celebrating the success of exciting and innovative businesses which are leading the way with pioneering products or services.
We've been recognised specifically for our excellence in International Trade - A huge thank you to our lovely customers around the world!
The official presentation took place at our factory in Newquay, where our British sheepskin boots and slippers are made!
It was a pleasure to give the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, Col Sir Edward Bolitho, a guided tour of our factory along with his wife, Deputy Lieutenant Kate Holborow, and the Chairman of Cornwall Council Cllr Pauline Giles. Afterwards both Col Sir Edward Bolitho and Cllr Pauline Giles gave speeches celebrating the achievements of Celtic & Co, before awarding our Managing Director Zoe Bray with the trophy and joining us all in celebrating with a pasty.
"Today has been a wonderful chance for the whole company to come together and celebrate our achievements over the past couple of years, and to be recognised for our international trade efforts where we saw significant growth in the US, Australia, Canada and Germany.
It’s exciting to see reactions to our growing range from around the world, where customers are really engaging with our use of more natural fibres and British design"
