The British singer Melanie Masson shot to the public's attention with her powerhouse vocals and heart rending performances of Janis Joplin's Cry Baby. With millions of hits on Youtube of her first audition, she very quickly became an X Factor favourite with millions of fans in the UK and from all over the world. Gaining respect and admiration from fans and critics alike, she sailed into the live finals.
Her new single 'Seasons', is the follow up to her acclaimed first single 'Why Don't You Love Me?' and her second self released single. It is her unique Northern Soul interpretation of the Future Islands hit 'Seasons' (Waiting on You).
This track is another stomping Northern Soul inspired track, inspirational, uplifting, thought provoking and with a shed full of soul. Another showcase for her power dynamic voice, authentic, powerful and passionate. Melanie says:" I absolutely love Celtic and Co. I was looking for a beautiful long warm coat to wear in the video for my new single SEASONS. I wanted something that was timeless, stylish and warm. I instantly fell in love with this long Shearling Hooded Toscana full length coat. Not only is it beautiful to look at, it's the warmest coat I've ever worn. I was filming in cold temperatures from 8am until 8pm, constantly outdoors and I didn't feel the weather all day. Beautifully made, this coat will last a life time. If there's one coat worth investing in, it's this one."
Melanie says further: "I loved the melody and lyrics to Seasons and really connected to it. It felt very reflective yet optimistic and that’s the mood I wanted to create for the video. I wanted to send out a positive message. It feels like we’re all in the same challenging situation right now. We all have our struggles, our ups and downs, but there’s always hope. It’s about hanging on to what’s important, taking strength from that and holding onto the belief that better days are coming. It’s a message to everyone to hang on in there".
