    Material

Infused with a blend of waxes and oils, our durable Waxed Cotton boasts a traditional waxy finish, offering unparalleled protection against the elements. While it may begin with a slight stiffness, it gradually softens and flexes with wear, developing a unique, aged patina that tells your story. Breathable and adaptable, our waxed cotton adjusts to ambient temperatures, ensuring comfort in any climate. Sourced responsibly from Halley Stevensons in Dundee, our cotton undergoes low-impact manufacturing processes. Designed to be re-waxed for enduring performance.

I purchased about 5 years ago. Great product. Thinking about a second one. This one for my daughter. It is still like new from 5 years ago

Just received this after pondering about it for c2 years 😱. Love it and love the way the hood sits when not is use, I also like the fact that an extra button has been added at the sleeve (I deduce after a earlier previous reviewer). It packs up really neatly for the coverage it gives too. One thing I would suggest is is it possible to have an internal drawstring/tab at the waist for those days when you want coverage but also a tighter silhouette/better weather protection?

Dear Sian, Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with your waxed cotton cape coat. I have passed your feedback on to our product team for future product development. If there is anything else we can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask. Many thanks, Celtic & Co.

The storm flap collar needs an extra set of poppers. When the cape is closed with all the poppers pressed shut the collar bit of the hood doesn't line up properly. In fact there is a big gap to let the wind in and it is not a storm flap in the true meaning. If there were two extra poppers on the collar it would work fine. Basically the cape is double breasted but the collar isn't. Seems a bit of a shame that there should be this lack of attention to the collar detail. Also the brown tartan lining is a bit drab. It could be lined with something much nicer.

A lovely cape but on the big size. I ordered a medium but it drowned me so I’ve reordered the small size.

Lovely cape, but had to return as the poppers were too stiff for me.

I loved the cape it was so stylish but unfortunately I posted it back to you on 5th October (the day after receiving it) as it was rather to heavy and warm for me. I do hope that you receive it soon.

Ordered a large as I’m a 14-16 usually but was way too big so reordered a medium and it’s perfect love it . Also have to say Celtic were brilliant as I’d thrown away the original packaging but they let me repackage it myself and return the first one fantastic customer service Thank you

Ive been waiting for this cape to return as dithered as to whether to buy it or not last year and missed out in the end. Although im only 5 ft 4" i went by the size guide and found myself just in the 12-14 medium category- usually i wear size 10- i was worried it may swamp me. On putting it im pleased i chose the medium. Theres plently of room for a chunky jumper underneath and because there are no shoulder destinctions/seams it dosnt look too big width wise. My last celtic wax jacket is still going 9 years on but im v pleased with my upgrade especially cos it has a hood!

Not actually tried in extreme weather conditions but almost looking forward to it.....!!!! Fits the bill when I need to wear thick chunky jumpers underneath and not feel restricted when I'm driving. Thank you Celtic..................

I love this cape, so warm snuggled in it and really stylish. It is versatile and can be worn with chunky jumpers with wide arms. Very happy thanks Celtic .
