Cut to a classic shape for easy wearing with room to layer, it's crafted in winter-ready waxed cotton with an authentic, slightly polished finish that will take on individual character and an aged-leather appearance over time. A quilted inner layer adds warmth, while our signature checked cotton lines the body – turn back the cuffs to put it on show.
HD® Wool is used for insulation throughout. HD® Wool’s Evolve Active Insulations are made from fully traceable, washable British wool specifically designed to replace polyester wadding.
Practical details include two lower patch pockets, two chest-height handwarmer pockets, adjustable cuff straps, inner pockets and a vented back hem. The stand collar is trimmed with pure-cotton corduroy at the inside, providing softness against the skin and enhancing this jacket's timeless appeal. Write a reviewA really beautiful jacket that is exactly as the photo. The fabric is top quality and it’s cut very subtly to provide a good fit. My partner is an XL as he has broad shoulders but he’s quite slim, other brands billow around the middle. There is plenty of room in this jacket but it sits tight to his silhouette. I love it! It is incredible value, especially as I got 15%off for my first order.
The materials and construction of the coat are great. The only issue I have is that the fit is too small, which was also the issue from the other review by Valerie Pallet. After reviewing the measurements of the jacket, I purchased a Medium (my chest is 42 inches) but the sleeves are about half an inch too short and the back chest is too tight when my arms are raised as if working on something with the hands at chest height. The other suggestion I'd make is that future versions come with a removable hood (that uses snaps) and an orange hunting safety strip that can be snapped on in place of the hood.
