Warehouse Operative (5 week contract)

Refined Brands is the leading digitally native portfolio of ethically sourced, natural and sustainable British brands. Built on the back of British heritage brands and high-quality local manufacturing, the Refined Brands group was incepted in February 2021 with the acquisition of Celtic & Co and expanded via the subsequent acquisitions of Turtle Doves, Frugi and Kettlewell Colours in 2022.

Location: Unit 2, Lodge Way, Indian Queens Industrial Estate, St. Columb TR9 6TF

The Role:

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be a key part of our team, responsible for picking clothing items from pick tubs quickly and accurately. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to meet performance targets. While picking is your focus, you may also assist with packing orders, goods-in, stock replenishment, and returns when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring speed, care, and quality.
  • Use a mobile handheld device to scan and sort orders.
  • Safely use step ladders to retrieve stock from higher shelving and handle boxes (up to 15kg).
  • Achieve daily performance targets and meet set deadlines.
  • Work efficiently and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ensure your work area is organised and meets health and safety standards.
  • Work to a flexible schedule, which may include overtime or Saturday shifts during busy periods.

Working Hours:

  • Shifts are typically between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
  • You’ll be available to work overtime or on Saturdays when required to help meet customer demand.
  • This is a fixed-term contract ending on 25th July 2025, with potential for extension or a permanent position following a performance review before the contract’s conclusion.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be motivated, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You should have the following qualities:

  • Physical Fitness: Able to regularly lift boxes up to 15kg and safely use step ladders.
  • Experience: A proven track record of performing in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Teamwork: Friendly, cooperative, and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient with data entry and familiar with mobile handheld scanning devices.
  • Self-Motivation: Capable of working independently while maintaining a high work rate.
  • Time Management: Able to manage your time effectively and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Flexibility: Open to working across various warehouse tasks when required.
  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work efficiently without supervision.

Additional Notes:

Training: Full training will be provided for the successful applicant.

Contract: A holiday embargo is in place during peak periods as per department policy, with accrued leave paid out at contract end.

Availability: Flexibility is required, as you will need to be available for shifts between 8am and 5pm and on a Saturday
