HRH. Prince Charles Visits Celtic & Co.
For us here at Celtic & Co., Friday 6th March was a day like no other, and will certainly be remembered for many, many years to come.
We were incredibly honoured to receive a very special visit from H.R.H. Prince Charles in celebration of our employees, our suppliers and of course, our 30th anniversary.
H.R.H. Prince Charles received a warm Celtic & Co. welcome before taking a tour of our Factory guided by owners Nick & Kath, learning about the handmade processes undertaken in making our famous sheepskin boots and slippers. He greeted staff kindly and asked our talented team many questions about the process along the way.
The tour then followed through to our warehouse, where we ship to over 60 countries worldwide, and onto our shop where he spoke passionately with Nick, Kath & other representatives regarding the importance of the Campaign for Wool initiative of which H.R.H. is a Patron.
H.R.H. is an avid supporter in raising awareness amongst consumers about the unique, renewable & natural benefits offered by wool. By creating this initiative, the campaign has influenced new recognition for wool as a biodegradable source & changed the demand on a huge scale internationally for many fashion designers & retailers. Another way in which H.R.H. Prince Charles is tackling sustainability.
Finally, a small reception was then hosted for all to celebrate in raising a glass of Camel Valley & enjoying local Cornish Pasties from Premier Pasties. H.R.H. Prince Charles then unveiled a locally made plaque to mark this tremendous occasion and to mark our 30th year in business.
